Speech Language Pathologist
Communication is perhaps the most valuable ability we possess as human beings. As a speech-language pathologist, I find an incredible amount of joy in helping people communicate and connect with others. I believe that speech therapy should be a very empowering experience, and I understand that it requires trust and connection. My commitment is to provide my clients with the expert guidance needed to meet their goals, while supporting them with a loving heart.
Allison immediately puts clients at ease with her kindness and caring demeanor, and her passion for her work is obvious. Her sessions are filled with encouragement and positivity." -C.T. Experience and Education
I earned both my Master’s and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Texas. Over the course of my career, I have worked with children and adults in public and private school, rehabilitation, and private practice. As a life-long learner, I prioritize staying current with new research and treatment approaches. I am a member of ASHA's Special Interest Group for Stuttering, a nationally recognized authority providing education, research, and support in the area of fluency disorders. I have contributed to research with Dr. Courtney Byrd in the field of stuttering. Additionally, I have achieved advanced training and certifications in motor speech disorders (PROMPT) and accent modification (PESL-certified). Mission My aim is to provide the highest quality treatment in the area of stuttering and articulation (with an extension to accent modification). If you feel that your speech is impacting your ability to share your thoughts and ideas effectively, I want to help. I am honored to share my expertise in order to improve your communication, and thus your confidence in daily life. |
