In honor of Better Hearing & Speech Month, Wildflower Speech Therapy is offering FREE screenings for speech, language, and stuttering on May 11 and May 18, 2018.
Do you have concerns about speech, language, or stuttering? Are you wondering what is "age-appropriate" and what might signal the need for skilled intervention? You are invited to register for a FREE screening this May.
What To Expect:
A screening is a very brief, informal assessment of communication skills. Allison Elium, the Wildflower speech-language pathologist, will informally evaluate whether an individual's communication skills appear to be age-appropriate or whether further assessment is warranted.
What If Further Assessment Is Warranted?
If communication skills appear to be delayed or atypical, Allison will recommend that the individual be evaluated formally. While a screening is very brief and broad, a comprehensive speech and language evaluation gives specific, detailed results and provides a basis for a treatment plan (if needed).
Who Can Be Screened?
Children, teenagers, and adults are welcome to schedule a screening.
Is There Any Commitment?
Not at all! Wildflower Speech Therapy is happy to provide this service free of charge and free of commitment to Austin families during Better Hearing & Speech Month.
